Shafia qualified from the University of Manchester in 2014 and since then has undertaken various post graduate studies in order to broaden her skill set and gain experience especially in the field of Oral Surgery.
Shafia has completed two years post graduate training in major trauma hospitals across Yorkshire, allowing her to get first-hand experience in trauma, cancer and complex dental cases.
Shafia is sedation trained and is also an Intercollegiate Advisory Committee for Sedation in Dentistry (IACSD) accredited trainer. This allows her to be able to provide IV sedation for anxious patients and open up treatment for those that it would otherwise be inaccessible to.
Having worked in a busy mixed NHS practice providing oral surgery and NHS dentistry for many years, Shafia has a wealth of experience in dealing with complex surgical cases and also dealing with nervous patients.
She can also place and restore dental implants, meaning that patients can have every choice when it comes to replacing missing teeth.
